Community Renewal & Wellness

Community Wellness is about improving the environmental, social, and economic conditions that contribute to poor community health.  Community Wellness is also about supporting a quality of life that promotes the health and well-being of all its members, but with special attention to those members who are underserved, marginalized, and living below the poverty line.

Community Renewal is more about the economic, social and systemic realities that are in need of renewal – things like criminal justice/restorative practices; employment and employability; affordable housing; community development; and building sustainable economies of scale where all community members can participate and thrive.

The Center for Contemplative Healing can help organizations, community groups, and policymakers with understanding the Community Wellness/Community Renewal gaps and needs of their communities and consult on ways to generate sustainable solutions.
